From Airborne Infantry to Landscaping
At LOVING, we believe our greatest strength lies in the people who make up our TEAM. Every new hire brings unique skills, experiences, and stories that enrich our culture and strengthen our mission. Today, we’re proud to spotlight one of our newest additions to the Landscaping Division in the Carolinas — Nick Busch, who joins us as a Field Manager.
From Texas Roots to the Carolinas
Nick grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas, a place where his love for the outdoors and hands-on work began. His path into landscaping started in residential lawn care, where he built his foundation, before transitioning into the commercial side of the industry. That experience gave him the knowledge, attention to detail, and leadership skills that now make him a valuable part of our TEAM.
Family First
At home, Nick’s TEAM includes his wife, Amanda, and their beautiful dog, Bella — a German shepherd/mastiff mix. When he’s not working in the field, you’ll likely find Nick enjoying some quiet time fishing, one of his favorite ways to unwind.
Honoring His Service to Our Country
What makes Nick’s story especially inspiring is his service in the United States military. For 12 years, he served as an airborne infantry soldier, where he quite literally made a career out of jumping out of planes. That discipline, resilience, and courage continue to shape who he is today. Though his military days are behind him, Nick still skydives recreationally — this time for the thrill, not the paycheck.
A Glimpse Into Nick’s World
Like all of us, Nick has his quirks. He admits one of his biggest pet peeves is when people lack situational awareness — a trait he no doubt honed both in the military and in managing TEAMS on the ground. He lives by the motto: “Can’t fight fate.” It’s a phrase that reflects both his easygoing nature and his deep belief in trusting the path life sets before us.
Looking Ahead
As Nick steps into his new role as Field Manager, we’re excited to see how his blend of landscaping expertise, leadership skills, and military discipline will shape the future of our projects and our people in the Carolinas. His story is one of resilience, service, and passion for both his work and life outside of it — a perfect reflection of the spirit we’re proud to foster at LOVING.
