In recent months, many of our Hispanic and Latino TEAM members, families, and friends have been deeply shaken by I.C.E. activity in the Charlotte area. Regardless of their legal status, many hardworking, fully documented individuals have found themselves stereotyped, isolated, or treated with suspicion simply because of their nationality or the color of their skin. That fear reaches beyond the workplace and into their homes. It affects spouses and children, and disrupts the rhythm of an entire community.
This is not a political issue for us. This is a people issue.
Why the “Immigrants Make America Great” Initiative Exists
LOVING created the “Immigrants Make America Great” initiative for one reason: to stand beside our immigrant TEAM members and community in a tangible, meaningful way. These are individuals who came to the United States the right way. They work hard. They contribute. They lead. They build. And they deserve to feel safe, supported, and seen.
To do that, we designed and released the “Immigrants Make America Great” hat — a simple product with a powerful purpose. Every hat represents both solidarity and support. Every purchase helps fund relief for TEAM members and families experiencing hardship due to fear-driven disruptions in their lives.
And the response has been overwhelming.
More Than $20,000 Raised — And Counting
Because of the generosity of customers, partners, friends, and even total strangers, we have already raised over $20,000 to directly support affected immigrant families.
This support goes toward things like:
Emergency financial assistance
Relief for workers facing unexpected income gaps
Essential items for households navigating fear-related disruptions
These families didn’t ask for sympathy. They asked for stability, fairness, and the chance to work without being judged by a stereotype. Through this initiative, we have been able to remind them that they do not stand alone.
